Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Hosanna

Join Amy at Signs and Wonders to see songs that are making the souls of others sing today also!

This is a song we started singing at church when I was pregnant with Seth. I was especially moved by it because it has the line that says "In your kingdom, broken hearts are made new, You make us new". We also sang this (at my request) at Seth's Memorial service. Now it IS true that Seth has a new heart.. And God is working on MY broken one.

Sorry for your loss. Songs also comfort me, just as a verse from the Bible can!

Oh my. Your pain is so new. :( Here I am in tears. I have a little one, littler than yours though, in heaven too. He would be a little over 5 now. It is such a journey. And I am sorry, sad that you are traveling it too. That song, will always always stick with you.

The song that sticks with me, that we sang at Harvey's funeral, is It Is Well With My Soul. And another, that played often in the 12 days we were able to be with him and know him, is The Dance, by Garth Brooks. Almost every time I hear them, still 5 years later, I (we - dh and I) cry. We can hardly look at each other or the tears start.

Bless you, as God heals your heart, and as He continues to heal mine.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am so happy that you did! I am happy to have found yours! If ever, I can be a help or an encouragement or a shoulder to cry on, please just send me a note, a comment or an email.

Hugs!

We also sing this beautiful song at our church and I often think of those who have lost when i sing words like those.... I have a very dear friend who recently had her 2 yr old daughter die of cancer and she is on my mind and in my heart whenever i am in church (or anywhere, really)

So sorry for your loss. "God is working on my broken one" I like that. I had mine broken too and what you said is inspiring to me.

Thank you so much for the nice words on my TSMSS. I have been visiting your blog and I'm enjoying it. If I may, I want to pass an award to you - One Lovely Blog Award. It's on my blog. Thanks.
